FORUM Token Genesis 1
The FORUM token is a digital asset whose main purpose is to let the ForumOnline community make collective decisions about the future development of the project. To receive it and to use it you need a V2 account: register, open your wallet, and complete the migration to V2.
FORUM is not for sale.
FORUM is not currently for sale, and no offer, solicitation, or sale of the token is being made by ForumOnline or any authorized representative at this time. ForumOnline does not sell tokens directly to individuals, and there is no official sale, presale, or private offering underway.
If any individual, website, social media account, or other third party claims to be selling FORUM, requesting payment in exchange for it, or offering early access or allocations — it is a scam. Do not send funds or share personal information with anyone claiming to sell the token.
Any official information regarding token distribution will be communicated exclusively through the project's official communication channels.

We believe that the communities who build, sustain, and contribute to ForumOnline should be the ones who govern the platform. Decisions about what content is promoted, what rules are enforced, and how the platform evolves should be aligned with the users. By distributing governance rights as on-chain tokens, control over the platform is transferred from a central authority to its participants. No single entity — including the founding team — can unilaterally alter the rules, extract value from the community, or take the platform in a direction its members oppose. Governance becomes transparent, auditable, and resistant to capture.
ForumOnline is built on the conviction that public discourse deserves public ownership, and the FORUM token is the mechanism through which that ownership is exercised.
In future, FORUM holders will be granted the capacity to propose, deliberate on, and vote for changes to protocol parameters, smart contract upgrades, treasury allocations, and other matters of protocol policy, with voting power proportional to the number of tokens held or delegated.
A nonprofit legal entity established to serve the interests of the protocol. The management of this entity will remain subject to the protocol's governance process, ensuring that token holders retain ultimate authority over its direction. The nonprofit will hold assets, enter into contracts, manage any off-chain relationships and operational matters, acting as a real-world interface for the protocol.

Who receives the first airdrop.
The first airdrop uses the testnet snapshot of registered users and their activity. Confirmed ETH or USDT donations to V2 wallets add a one-time 3,000 FORUM bonus. Receiving an allocation requires migration to V2.

The second genesis makes FORUM a governance token and adds the programmes for founders, early contributors and backers. Every genesis after that is decided by token holders together, and each one can widen the existing programmes or open new ones. The supply story does not end at a number we picked in advance.
The balance we intend to hold
Taking every genesis together, the aim is for at least 70% of the eventual supply to sit with the community, the node operators and public goods, and for no more than 30% to sit with the team, backers and advisors. This first genesis is entirely on the community side of that line. The second is where the other side gets funded, and this balance is the ceiling it has to fit under.
Four things FORUM is deliberately not.
The FORUM token is not a financial instrument, security, investment product, or investment offering. It is intended solely as a governance mechanism to enable participation in the decision-making process of the project.

Program sizes are governance parameters, not commitments to any individual. They can change, and every distribution is published.
